Trump, being interview over the telephone, misheard "Quds" as "Kurds". So what? He was fine for the rest of the interview and sounded sharp and articulate. He just misheard two very similar sounding words. To take this as evidence of mental incompetence is ridiculous.

But only Quds makes any sense regardless of what he heard. Kurds wouldn't make sense for many reasons, not the least of which the kurds who were mistreated that Trump is referring to are in a country which doesn't even border Iran! Wouldn't you characterize ME politics as "extremely challenging" and should only be attempted by our absolutely best and brightest?

Believe me or don't but if Obama / Clinton / whoever made a mistake like this I would at least be concerned that they weren't up to the task of navigating this minefield.

Unlike Obama, who doesn't know how many states make up the United States! Now that was a real whopper of a mistake, unlike the Quds/Kurds kerfluffle.

To be fair to Trump, the interview you've linked to is from years ago before he became President. It's not a recent interview post-insane-assassination.

Grampa is not well

True in general. But particularly true with regard to authorizing this insane attack. The man has just made every American less safe. The Iranians will be working out ways to retaliate, and they are surely considering a retaliation against Americans at home not just abroad. Trump's actions mean there's every chance that the average American will suffer from this, in a way that just wasn't a serious possibility previously.
